I'm having trouble installing some of the themes that come from this section?

I save them to my desktop, I just don't know how to put them onto my Blackberry Curve 8900.

OTA links need to be downloaded via your BB

if your installing via DM you need the .alx version not .jad

using DM click applications
then click import files (DM6) search in file or location where they are saved
