Wifi will not turn on Blackberry 8520

Recently I have not been able to turn the wifi on my Curve 8520 on, the option is greyed out when it asks you to turn the wifi radio on.
I have tried numerous battery pulls, I have followed all the posts I can find on the forums I have checked all the obvious solutions but not one works. The radio will not switch on.

The Wifi was working until recently the only app that I have added I have deleted but no change. I am at my wits end, nothing seems to work.

Would this be a hardware problem, software or RIM problem, there does not seem to be any obvious solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

it's an hardware problem.
Contact your carrier to get a replacement blackberry
