Unhappy wierd trackball issue

the trackball on my 8900 works perfectly going left and right when im using the browser and playing brick breaker, but doesnt work well going left and right on the today screen, i have to move it a lot just to have it go one spot to either side, anyone know why this is happening? i was going to replace my trackball but i noticed it works fine in browser and brick breaker but it sucks trying to go left and right between my text messages and calendar and everything else and i really dont want to have to take my phone apart to replace it, i wish it was as easy as when i had my 8320... any suggestions??

Try changing the sensitivity, maybe that will help.

that is weird.... when you did the battery pull... did you leave the phone on before you pulled out the battery? Also did you leave the battery out for at least 20 seconds. If these things dont work, one thing that has worked before is to pull the battery out overnight and then try again in the morning.

kinda found a fix, it works perfectly when i put the horizontal sensitivity on 90 and leave the vertical on 70, if i were to change the vertical to anything else it doesnt work correctly even though it has nothing to do with going left and right.... really wierd....

If you can get a warranty replacement I would do that

If not then I guess you will have to live with the fix, I would just be concerned that it gets worse.
