Default Wi-fi broken/not working, unable to connect

Hi guys,

A few months ago i let my 9800 torch fall into the water and got killed etc..
No i'm back at my old 8900 curve again but always ignored the fact that my wi-fi doesn't work.
When i try to switch it on @ connections.. it waits a couple of seconds and turns off immediately.
Turning it on @ the wizard via Searching for networks give's a simple; Unable to connect.

I tried multiple things like an other OS, Memory cleanup but doesnt give a sh*t...

Im kinda out of ideas, did lots of research on the internet but it couldnt help me out..

I hope maybe you guys have an idea or maybe the issue sounds familiar to someone.

Thanx in advance!!
