Water damaged :(
Hi
I dropped my blackberry in the water a couple of days ago....ive done everything possible. So when i put the battery in the phone starts up and shuts down 2 seconds after the BLACKBERRY is displayed when loading the OS. Is it possible for me to turn the phone on without the battery. Cuz im not sure if its the battery thats messed up after the incident or the phone. And the white sticker is turned pink so my phone is def. water damaged.
Thanks - 04-30-2010, 07:07 PM

Did you pit it in a bag of rice after the water logging?

no i didnt put it in the rice...although i put it in a box with silica gel...i work in a pharmacy so i got some from the drug bottles....left it in the box for two days........
i hooked the phone up to the usb on my laptop although i dont see anything...the Desktop manager detects it ... so def the phone is working....i think my lcd screen is gone.... and the phone's screen actually flashed for like a second and i saw my wallpaper and my icons and the lcd went all black there after.
BUT for some weird reason...when i plug the battery out and plug it back in...it shows me Blackberry with the little loading bar on the bottom...and the screen goes black ! - 04-30-2010, 10:22 PM #7
I would just report it as lost/stolen. Most insurance doesn't cover water damages lol
