    Default Video Camera Resolution

Hey, what is the highest resolution that you can record videos at ??? .... mine is 240 x 180, but according to the RIM website it should be 480 x 352 (can't post link not enough credits, but go check yourself).

I wonder if this is an error that they just copied and pasted the settings from the BOLD, or if this is a firmware issue.

    Thanks,
    SK

I'm on OS .133 and that is also my maximum setting available for the video camera.

Perhaps the hardware can record at that resolution, but the OS doesn't recognize it.
We might see a fix In the future. The hardware potential is there.

OS .94 definitely maxes out at 240x180. I'm also hoping for a fix in future OS updates.

I hope you are right, it would seem silly that the 8900 has a better camera, but worse video resolution. Hopefully, we will see this rectified soon.

As of 4.6.1.144 the max resolution remains set at 240 x 180 ...

I am beginning to think that this is not a software issue at all

It's lame for sure, but I guess this gives me an excuse to get a Mino HD or ZX1.

I updated my 8900 to 5.0.0.238 and now the highest video resolution is 320x240 pixel. But the Framerate dropped from 15fps (240x180px) to only 10fps. Really annoying... Storm took videos with 480x352px und 25fps. I hope for newer 5.0 releases.
