    Default Verizon Actiontec Router = No UMA spotty connection.

    Sorry did a search but found nothing specific. I have VZ Fios with an Actiontec MI-424WR Wireless router. My 8900 accepts a connection but I am unable to make UMA calls (constant "call failed message")or watch internet videos (media player shows "loading" but never plays) such as youtube.

    Ive contacted all available tech support both TMO and VZ which was no help.

    Any ideas?

    I just got the FIOS myself. I had the same problem you do with UMA. failed calls and delayed calls. I just changed my network setting to Mobile Network Perfered and my network browser to Hotspots. That have me EDGE for my phone calls and WiFi for my data. Its been working great for me. For the record thats what the blackberry rep told me to do.
