Do you have the BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) bolt-on/extra added to your plan? I think that's what it's referring to rather than an actual Blackberry account.

1 - Check whether the OS file is the right one for your phone model.

If so,

Delete vendor.xml (in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader) and use loader.exe to upgrade.

I think this wipes the device, though, so make sure you back-up before trying it if you need to.

So when you went through the program, the end result was no different? Are you sure the program completed, how long did it take? It usually takes roughly 15-30 minutes.

To go through the Loader, you choose your Blackberry from a drop-down list then the files you want to load onto it should come up, make sure the files are checked and that you have the OS file (.exe) that you wish to install unzipped on your computer.
