Does it affect anything on my 8900 if I unlock it like bug/uma I been reading other thread. And they say there phone has problem with uma after unlocking there phone and other say they cant make call only sms work

it changes nothing, other then unlock the phone fromn your carrier

If you do a proper Unlock (enter the code from your service provider, or use a commercial service like cellunlock.net) you should only release the ability to use a SIM from any provider. All other features will be unchanged as offered by your current service provider. (It may be the unlockers have switched provider and UMA is no longer available form the new service, or is only available on phones supplied direct by the provider).

If you try to unbrand your phone (this is different, not unLOCK) using illegal software you found on internet,
(a) anything could happen, including your phone getting deactivated.
(b) don't blame us if it goes wrong, you're on your own.
(c) some of the provider-specific features may be lost depending on the provider.
