unable to receive new sms.. erro "Uncaught exception..."

Hi there.. i really appreciate wit some help on my troubles
i just bought BB8900 couples days ago but after setting up connections all that i then hav troubles receiving sms (i can send out txt sms though..). It owez pop up new sms notification icon but i cant see any of them in any sorts of folders... however, this not happen all da time (when i send out sms i could receive the reply.. no problem), but if i ask smbdy to send me any sms it won't work at all! so frustrating dude...

1 more thing.. i found out that whenever i click on the 'SMS Outbox' folder an error msg appear "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException"..

Here is an options... open Messages > click the Blackberry Menu button > Options > General Options > change the "SMS and Email Inboxes" to Combined... this will display your SMS messages in your Messages icon along with your emails.

it really solved da initial prblm, nw tht ther're no longer 'unopen' sms notification icon appear. i hope i b able 2 receiv incoming sms aft this..thx genius!
but dude.. hw abt d "Uncaught exception.." error thing? any idea y is it happening?

How long has it been since you did a real reboot... by that I mean doing a Battery Pull: Leave your device on, pull the battery for 20 seconds, put the battery back in and wait for your device to boot up... Battery Pulls solve about 90% of the issues with any Blackberry... you should do a battery pull about once a week.

If it's not that you might have a corrupt file on your device... and to fix that you'd either have to upgrade your OS, or wipe your device and reload your current OS... if that is the case you might want to start doing some reading of the Blackberry 101 section... you can find a link under the "Blackberry Help" dropdown menu at the top of every forum page here on Crackberry.
