trackball replacement

My friends trackball has stopped working I was wondering if you can replace the trackball with another models trackball. I have a blackberry bold 9000 that's broken would that trackball work?

Not sure if it would work or not, but you can buy an OEM 8900 trackball on ebay for like $5...

If you live in/near Toronto, there's a place on Eglinton Ave E. at Dixie that sells them for $5. I've replaced mine twice now. (1325 Eglinton Ave E, Missisauga. An office suite on the 2nd floor). They sell all kinds of cell phone parts and do repairs. I just buy the trackball and replace it myself. It's ridiculously easy if you have a #5 mini torx bit driver.

Yes it works, all trackball blackberries use the same trackball.

i once used a trackball from a dual sim clone blackberry on a 8900 and it worked so i'm pretty sure the 9000 trkball would work!
