trackball problems

i have a blackberry 8900, and the trackball wont scroll at all, when i clean it out it works, however if i dont use it for a while it will stop working, also i have tried a new trackball. if anyone could help me with my problem that'll be great thanks.

everyone who reads this having the same problem, i cleaned out my trackball, then i wiped my fone and it has worked! well its been working for about 30 hours so go out and try it now!
