Default Stuck @ 75% on reboot - Is my 8900 nuked?

    Here's my issue:
I did a standard battery pull and now the phone will not make it through the reboot process. It appears to be stuck at around 70-75% according to the status bar on the screen.

I have tried repeated battery pulls, including waiting 30+ minutes before reinserting the battery, removing sim card, etc. It has now been over 2 hours that the phone has been stuck, so I don't think waiting it out is going to be a solution.

I have searched the forums (Crackberry and other sites) and while there are lots of similar posts, none seem to be exactly the same problem as mine (most mention a white screen and/or a spinning hourglass).

BBSAK does not recognize the phone is connected. BBDM recognizes my phone is connected, but says the phone is in the middle of rebooting. LOADER.exe recognizes my PIN, but unfortunately I do not have a recent backup available, and I have a large # of new contacts, calendar events, password keeper items, etc. that have not been backed up. Needless to say I am praying that I will not need to wipe the device (or worse, have it replaced).

Does anybody know if there is a solution to this problem that doesn't involve wiping/replacing my phone? Attached is picture of what my screen looks like when it freezes.

    Thanks in advance

UPDATE: Finally, after about 3 hours, the device booted completely. The battery is almost dead, and I have a SOS "Insert SIM Card" warning, but at least I am back into the phone. I'm doing a backup then going to try to get things functioning again.

    Angry Having the same issue

My phone is on some other sh*t too. It reboots like you said 75 percent and actually the picture you posted up is exactly the same way my screen is showing. You updated that you let the phone alone for about 3 hrs and it finished rebooting correct? How is the phone now? does it continue to do this everytime you want to reboot? And i have Quick Pull on my phone, i hope that doesn't mess things up as well.

yea, its been happening to me as well
just do battery pulls and soft-resets until it restarts, took me an hour of restarting and batpulls to get it working. going back up and install 5.007xx OS to fix the silent ringtone glitch and sh/tty uma

I would give wiping the device using BBSAK and then re-installing the OS5 to see if that rectifies the problem.
