Stalled Device Software Update PLEASE HELP!

Started 9 hours ago and the progress bar is no longer moving forward. It's stuck at about 80% on the 'REBOOT' step. I can't get the BB to do anything, it is stuck on a screen asking for Application Permissions. All the warnings say to NOT disconnect the device or you'll lose all your stuff and it could make the BB unusable. SO HOW DO I GET IT TO FINISH? Please, please help - I have no idea what to do from here and I can't lose everything I have on the phone...The whole idea of syncing and backing up on the computer was to avoid that when updating the OS. I don't have another line to call for tech support...please save me and my BlackBerry!

If it's been 9 hours, then you just need to go ahead and an unplug and start over.

If the device is bricked from that, you will just need to follow the steps to unbrick it and then load the device OS.

Hopefully, you did a manual back up before you started.

Ah crap, no, I don't know how to do a manual backup...I thought I had to do the whole sync it thing to get backup...
