I own 9700, upgraded from 9800
After loading all the apps and games.. Speed is almost same.
Battery is bit better
Else rest is same

I really hate those sticky key pads
3G is of no use for me,
UMA calling is not supported
......
Believe me don't upgrade from 8900, until RIM has something very better and powerful
If you are on some very old ones then think once before shelling out so much money.
Now I have to live with sticky key pad and one year contract.

The trakpad is, and remains a fail, for ME.
I'm still keeping the 9700, but will miss the prescision fo the 8900 trackball.
LIKE I SAID ALREADY, THE 8900 will be a HIGLY sought after device for the next year.
