Skullcandy compatibility with 8900

I want to get either the ink'd or, preferably, the smokin buds from skullcandy with a mic for my bb 8900. I'm just a bit worried about the mic part because I got a pair of the smokin buds with a mic a while back and they didn't work with my blackberry (which is the same phone), and we tried everything. When I took them back, the store didn't have another pair to see if it was my phone or the ear buds. I never got back to seeing which it was. So, does anyone know if it was the pair of earbuds themselves, or if certain ones don't work?

i had the exact same problem. you can always get the official blackberry headphones but who wants those. im currently using skullcandy titans. they have a mic. now the mic works. but to get it working you might have to twist the headphone a little bit in the socket. until the blackberry recognizes them. but nonetheless it works and works good.

what i hate thought is how the music options arent like the ipod or iphone. with the skullcandys that have a mic you can only play and pause music with the button, not double click to skip a song and triple click to go back.

Huh, I know the FMJ have that clicking ability, they just cost too much for me.

I am using the smokin buds with my torch 9800 and the mic works just fine. I had bought the more expensive pair that had volume control and then the mic didnt work. But the smokin buds work great. I recommend them.
