I seem to have developed a problem with my search function - it gets stuck at anywhere between 15-80%. Anyone else have same problem? Ive upgraded to the new OS (sticky link) and that seems to be the only problem

Ive noticed that my 8900 has been doing that lately,, out of the blue it seems. When I go to a particular txt message and do a "search sender" it gets stuck on the search. I'm not sure whats causing this..

Having the same problem. Search gets stuck on June 25th(two days ago) when searching for names in the "name" field. Any suggestions?

Also gets stuck on universal search at 20% when searching emails.

I'm having the same problem but with a Sprint 8330m. If I select a contact and then select Activity Log no results are displayed.

If I select a text message then Search Sender "Searching..." is displayed at the top and items from today (text messages and phone calls) are displayed for that contact but nothing from yesterday, previous week, etc.

I pulled the battery twice and Free memory is at 35530794 bytes.
Database Sizes:
Messages: 1221/1780.0K
Phone Call Logs: 463/122.1K
SMS Messages: 48/16.3K

Found the problem: I had to change my Facebook App. options to not connect my Facebook account with the Blackberry message application

I have Facebook 1.6 installed and changed the FB option to not have it integrate with Messages. I'm now able to run Search Sender and run Activity Log for a contact. Awesome, thanks!

I just noticed that all my messages have been saved since June 15 despite my settings of keeping them for only 15 days. June 15 just happens to be around the time I downloaded the FB app. Since you also had the same search problems as I did (related to the FB app), I was wondering if you also have the same problems of messages being saved beyond the set time.

I disabled the Facebook integration with my Messages list because I need Search daily to help file my emails (corporate email). After the FB update I didn't bother to re-enable the Messages list integration. With the FB msg/contacts/calendar integration disabled my messages are automatically purged according to the setting which I have set at 30 days.
