scratched up Blackberry Curve 8900

Hey, guys I'm kind of new here and I wanted to get some of BlackBerry 8900 users' opinions on whether if it's worth it for me to buy scratched and scuffed used BlackBerry Curve 8900 on Ebay that's fully functional?

I was planning to buy a whole new housing for it so I wonder if it's a good idea for me to buy used one on Ebay for maybe 60-70 dollars and apply a whole new housing on it?

I keep hearing how 8900 is the most stable BlackBerry ever and I really like the design on the phone.
