I am new to the site and new to having a blackberry! I'm finding it very difficult in understanding the phone.. I ...Obviously..have a curve 8900 and dont know how to use the bbmessenger, bluetooth and the facebook app? When i try logging into the facebook it says i need to check with my service provider? Hmmmm confused!!

Check out the Blackberry 101 lessons... you can find them under "Blackberry Help" at the top of every forum page.

And the Facebook issue... you need a Blackberry Data Plan to use a lot of apps including Facebook... if you just received your Blackberry it might take a day or two to have your provider activate your data plan if you have one.

where to start,,,,,,,do you have a data plan,,,,,,fb,bbm etc req setting up,basic stuff
1)do you have a BB data plan
2)do you have an email account on the phone
3)have you sent service books to the phone
4)bbm req's all the above,and working.Then you can add bbm contacts,providing they also have a bb

Just a few pointers to get you on the right track,happy to help but with a phone like a Blackberry you really need to know and read up on the basics to be able to use all the functions.Check out the online manual,hopefully it will be some help,
