random white screen of death
sometimes the 8900 locks up with white screen of death after a battery pull it works for a while then does it again any ideas?

I'd look for either media card issues, or potentially a battery that is getting ready to fail.
My daughter's Curve started locking up, I pulled her media card, rebooted, then used it for a while. Rebooting after I reinstalled her card seemed to have helped.
My Curve did what yours is doing when the battery went bad. New battery and I was good to go.
Start with the easy stuff, and go from there.
