Problems with the phone Tmobile Sent me,need advice.
So, I have been a blackberry user for 7 months now and I absolutely love it.
My first black berry 8900 worked like a charm. But the trackball stopped working at one point and it no longer worked. I had warranty and tmobile sent me a new one! Now to the problems......
1. I am unable to record videos or send picture messages. When I attempt to record a video it reads " insert media card device" or something of that nature.
2. I am unable to download programs from links. When you attempt to download a program ( i listen to radio shows), it gives you two options, "Open", or "Save". When i attempted to save, it says " the page requested is too large". Is this also due to the media card?
So, should i make a big deal about this? why would tmobile send me a phone without the media card? Is the 2nd problem a result of not having a media card? I dont want to make a big deal about this if a media card isnt worth much. So, what do you guys suggest? In advance, Thanks. - 01-12-2010, 06:53 PM #2
Does it have a media card? Of it doesn't. Then that's the problem. If it does have one, then it probably needs formatted.

Well most likely you need one in there. Just take off your battery cover and check near the SIM to see if there's already a card in there. If not then simply go out and buy one. There are often sales on these kinds of things online as well.

please tell me you took out the 1gig SD card that came with the 8900 that had the trackball problem before sending the phone back to tmobile? if not then yea you will need a microSD card. they are pretty cheap nowadays. replacement phones from tmobile do not come with batteries, battery doors, sim cards, and SD cards. those come from your old phone when you are getting a replacement phone.

Sounds like he mailed back the old phone with the media card still in it. You might be able to get tmobile to replace it but if not they are cheap enough. Try asking tmo first their customer support is pretty good.
