I'm not entirely sure if I've somehow fluked or chanced upon a workaround for emails being reconciled OTA using BIS. Or maybe that's how the emails are meant to work? Hotmail and Yahoo have always reconciled on my Outlook and device OTA no problems, ie deleted/read on device is reflected on Outlook. But my work email never seemed to reconcile OTA. I deleted Desktop Manager and reinstalled it but instead of selecting the option of connecting emails via BIS, I selected BES. I then deleted my email settings on Outlook and reconfigured it for IMAP instead of POP3. I get sent 2 emails which has a DAT file in it and says "This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an
associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message -
it will be processed by the server." Now, I can reconcile emails OTA by pressing the reconcile now button. I don't even need to use the Desktop Manager to reconcile the emails. Having said that, by reinstalling DM and selecting BES option, the 'reconcile emails' button is no longer greyed out. Don't really know if this will help anyone out there, but thought it may be worth posting.
