OK, How can I adjust the MAIN system volume on my Curve 8900? I'm not talking about profiles. For example, If my profile is silent, and I go to preview my ringtones, they will start playing a a high volume, even through it should be silent. Same happens with applications, profile can be silent, yet the sounds from the apps would play.
This becomes annoying because if it's late at night, and i want to run an app that starts playing sounds, I don't want to wake people up.
This happens with amAze GPS, (before it became a paid app), and also with iHeartRadio (Which I also removed because of this issue. iHeartRadio also never went through my headphones, always through the speaker phone, without any way to adjust it.
Isn't there a main phone volume somewhere, perhaps a 3rd party app or something? I would expect the volume keys to be able to adjust it, or the mute key to put the phone into completely silent mode.
Thanks
Oh, and I'm running v5.0.0.822 | Profiles is just for alerts from applications and calls, it doesnt control the volume of the speaker like you want it to... Silent profile means that any application that sends an alert event wont output any sound (call, bbm, tasks, calendar), for example, phone ringtone will be mute and so for every app, basically, if you get a call, it wont make any sound. Same goes for each type of profile. It doesn't control the speaker directly, just alert events from applications.
Just press the volume down button until it hits mute/zero in media applications. Some applications however, have their own volume control in their options and the volume key wont work, like some games and other media apps.
