Plain white screen, HELP!!!

Hi there, the other day my battery was dead and couldn't find my charger so hadnt charged the phone for 2 days but when charging it just a white screen appears no timer clock or anything just plain, although there seem to be a bit where its slightly pixilated.

Now when my Sim card was in the phone, i got a call (i have that led flasher app) it stil.l flashed away so the phone is still workinf, when i plugged it into my pc its comes as my blackberry connected and bb desktop manager still works.

i checked the batter and low and behold it had the red mark on it, although when i was using it to charge the right light stays on.

So i have a new battery. what can i do to get rid of this problem is there anything open to me other than getting a new screen?? i dont want to pay big money for that.

any help would be great.

Similar thing happened to my 8520 when I had tea spilt on it.

Nothing but a white screen but the phone does seem to be working underneath. Alarms and phone calls get through I think but the buttons don't do anything i.e. can't answer a call although I can hear it ring.

Not sure on how to fix it though

Had the same problem. Bought a new battery- problem solved!!!
