    Default PDF Reader

What's a good free PDF reader to download to the Curve 8900 as it doesn't seem to come with one!

    Thanks!

There are no free PDF readers.

There is a very poor excuse for one built into the email reader so that you can look at (note I do not say read) PDF email attachments.

    You have two real choices.

1). The BeamBerry Reader SLG Mobile, Inc. for $19.95

2). Buy the Premium version of DocsToGo for $69. You already have the Standard version of this suite on your phone and when you upgrade, they give you a PDF reader too.

As I know, at this moment all PDF readers are not for free...
    Try:
    RepliGo
Cerience Corporation - RepliGo Document Solutions for Mobile Devices
    or
    BeamBerry
    BeamReader Overview

I have used the pdf reader to read an email attachment and it worked well for me. I was able to see and read it quite clearly.

I just tested sending myself a small pdf... I was able to open it. No additional software was loaded. I'm guess it's either in the Docs-to-go or part of the OS.

That doesn't sound like a free version, it sounds like a cracked and or pirated version.
Thank you for clarifying this aristile. I should have made this clear, that this was a post by a user who purchased the software and decided to share it with other blackberry users.

I understand that some forum members may find this objectionable. I am not clear about the forum rules, and please remove this post, if that link violates the terms that I agreed to when signing up, but unfortunately did not read carefully enough

What's wrong with the pdf reader that came pre-installed? It works perfectly fine for me and I read pdfs all the time.

I believe the built-in pdf reader works only with email attachments, and won't let you view pdf files that are stored in memory (e.g., downloaded or transferred to the micro-sd card).

In addition, if you need to zoom into a pdf file which is quite reduced... you won't be able to read anymore the txt.

BeamReader looks like an excellent solution to a couple of "issues" I have with 4.6.1.xxx (lack of native PDF fonts and lack of a proper file browsing/renaming/moving application). That's worth $18 to me...

I have DOC TO GO from (dataviz.com)which is on sale for 39 bucks and it comes with the PDF reader for free.

Also I know some of you can read PDF files off an e-mail but since I am in school and they have the books in PDF format I like to add then to my SD card and read the book off my BB when I am on the train and with out the PDF reader there is no other way to open it that I know of.

This is a NEW problem for me as well as i think, from looking at these posts, is the same issue for several people here. My native whatever that is pdf reader in my curve 8330 don't work no more. not since os 4.5. So, is there anybody here who actually knows where the native pdf reader lives on the phone so that i can look at it or try to "fix" it? Or are we destined to purchase a third party app? Anyway, i'm starting to get a little sick and tired of all the "little" problems that i've had since os 4.5. Such as the loud, irritating, painful, "chirp" that happens on calls.
