OS 5 Update

Hi

I have been trying for hours to update my Blackberry 8900 to the OS 5.

I open the Desktop Software and search for new updates, however it doesn't show anything.

I am running a Windows Computer and have re installed the Desktop Software, and still nothing.

Any ideas?

You can download the OS from u r carriers web site there are pretty good tutorials out there

your firewall could block something if you can check it just a thought

Hi - I had the same problem with my 8900 because I purchased it from Amazon and later discovered it was a UK phone. Tmobile and Blackberry said they could not support it. However, I used the great directions on this site called "Blackberry 302: A complete wipe and clean install of your Blackberry os" from Joseph Holder. Just search for his on the Crackberry site and follow the directions and videos and you"ll be all set. Great directions! You'll have to use Blackberry Swiss Army Knife, but it's all in the directions!
