Default Old emails from Windows Live pushed through to 8900

Very strange. I have three emails setup on my 8900: Hotmail, Windows Live, and work. Twice today, the inbox connected to my Windows Live account on my phone showed I had new messages, but when I checked, these were actually OLD messages from January 3 or 4 and December 3 that I've already read and have been sitting in my real Inbox. I've only had this phone since the end of January!

In the "list" view, the date and time are for today, but if I go into the messages, they have the original date and time.

When I log into my account on my laptop, these emails do not show up as "new". They are still sitting where I last looked at them.

My other two accounts do not have this problem.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? I seem to be sending and receiving emails just fine - or at least I think so - other than this glitch. I haven't heard back from one person, but that may be another story!

I am having it too and I use the torch. At first I thought hacked email thru win live as I have seen funny stuff happening with my winlive email before. Still don't know but still getting old messages coming thru...saw another person post this problem with his winlive account. Winlive is flaky IMO...

i had the same problem after downloading 3 apps off bb appworld and also updated apps (facebook, appworld app, ms live messenger, aol msgr, bb msgr). there were about a dozen checked boxes when it asked me for permission settings for the app and i just clicked ok. wondering if the apps i downloaded or the updates were the culprit. maybe next time i'll take the time to set the permission for apps i download to only give them access to what they need. i deleted the apps and the hotmail account from settings>manage email, did a battery pull, restarted and then re-added the hotmail account without sincing it, but the old emails are still coming.
