oh crap i think i just bricked my new 8900! help!
so i went into the desktop manager and transferred all my stuff over to the new 8900 and i restarted my phone after the prompt and it wont do anything at all. only the red light is slowly lighting and going out.....holy crap help! i havent even got to use it yet!
i think what i did instead of tranferring files is i did a restore from my old pearl onto the 8900, how do i fix it it wont even turn on?
eta ok i figured out what i did. in my idiocy i think i deleted all the software and everything off of the 8900 and loaded it with the pearl software since i used restore.....oh **** what do i do?
should i just take it back to the store?
i tried this BlackBerry 101: How to Reload the Operating System on a Nuked BlackBerry | CrackBerry.com and it told me i didnt have any system software.....Last edited by cantstoptherobots; 03-01-2009 at 02:57 PM.

People (myself included) have experienced issues transferring and upgrading the 8900 with DM4.7. I suggest for future work you lose 4.7 and download 4.6. Less chance of frustration.
