Don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but when I was trying to back up, Desktop Manager kept freezing up and I couldn't figure out why. I had one of the new themes (created with Plazmic Beta) running, so I switched it to one of the preloaded themes and suddenly my backup worked. Don't know if the beta theme was pissing off Desktop Manager or what, but it's something to try if you're having issues with backing up!

I don't see any display improvement either. I think it would be pretty hard to improve on this display with an OS upgrade.

Good luck!

Hi Cyrus,

please give us some more details regarding upgrading the BB with BES. A step by step would be appreciated.

Can I compleately reset the device? (mem wiping etc) or does the Upgrade work only?

Just keep the BB on the USB Kabel and have the corp. Outlook open thatīs it? This would really make life for testing a lot easier without hasseling the IT department.

How shure is it going to work? not shure if there are any settings the my IT have setup on BES that this wonīt work.

Cheers
Rar9

Default Youtube issues over UMA

Okay so upgrade went well, no issues except for Youtube playing of UMA. It will work on edge network using the apn settings epc.tmobile.com. tried the switch to wap.voicestream.com and still did not work on uma. Does this makes sense? Help will be greatly appreciated.

Im not too sure if that works...BES activation is a PIN specific OTA authentication based stuff...
can u let us know if there are any other things thats needed cos this is a surprise and would be a pleasant one if we can actually do it....my BES admin was very clear about the need for a password everytime u upgrade or downgrade a OS

http://forums.crackberry.com/f65/com...wifi-how-47229

Taken from the above wifi how to:
"For a simple answer, UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) allows calling over WiFi networks, somewhat like VoIP. This is an added convenience for WiFi phones and has benefits, such as alternative connection methods in poor coverage areas and FREE calling when using TMobile's HotSpot@Home feature!"

Anyone else observing this?

With my current hybrid the only thing I'd like are ringtones that aren't insanely loud and better battery life...

Really? I am actually getting better battery life off of my phone. It has been off the charger since 10:30am, and it is now 1pm, and with .133 and .152 I would be down to 85-90% battery life. I am currently at 95% with 15-20 texts, a little bit of web surfing, and being connected to wifi. Also I have beejive running in the background.

Thumbs down No Good!!

I loaded this OS, just as the directions say. After loading, everything seemed good. I did a battery pull and then I got some weird message(s) and there was only about 10 icons on my home screen. I don't know where all the other icons went! I ended up Re loading the earlier OS, just to get things back to normal
I'll pass, when it comes to this OS!
