    Hello everybody,
I just got my 1st BB and its a 8900.
    I have a few questions.
I downloaded a theme for it (the blue pip boy 3000) and its a jad file.
How do i apply it? I cant find a bit i nthe device manager on the pc to install it so i dropped it on to the bb but when i try and install it it says downloading then an error, i also downloaded the meboy for it which is a jar file, same problem.
I got the vnNES emulator installed on it but its soo hidiously slow, why is this?
I used to have a SE phone and it ran things like bomberman fine
    Thanks for any help

Emulator's are pretty resource intensive and Blackberry's are more designed towards Business and Productivity etc so running games through emulators will more than likely run slow.

As for the theme, JAD files are just the description files and are OTA (over the air) links. If you still have the link to where you downloaded the JAD file if you type the link or go to the webpage where the linked JAD file for the theme is a click on it, it should bring up the download and download properly.

EDIT: Sorry forgot to mention visit the link from your Blackberry Browser itself not from your PC/Laptop

Bit disapointed bout the rom thing :-( given it runs so fast for everything else, thought it could beat my piece of crap 3 year old pphone :-(
When you install a theme, how do you uninstall it if u dont like it? Do you just delet the file and will it revert to normal?

    Welcome to Crackberry!

You really need to take the time to read through the 101 lectures. I have a link to them in my signature and you can also find them at any time through the "Blackberry Help" menu option at the top of every page.

To delete a theme just un-install it from the Applications list under
Options > Advanced Options > Applications

then scroll to the theme and click menu Delete

To uninstall any app, open options-advanced options-applications, then highlight the application you want to remove, press the menu key and select delete, confirm delete in pop up.

It is a Browser link..... what happened is you tried to go to a web page while you didn't have a data connection.... the browser ask you if you want to save the request or something like that....

Go to your messages folders.... and find the request and such for an unread message (you can use the "u" key to skip to the next unread message)
