Default mute/standby button

My mute/standby button no longer does anything. I can no longer put the phone in standby, nor mute a call as it is coming in. I did not drop my phone and I have a silicone case for it. The lock/unlock button still works, just not the mute button. Any ideas?

Have you tried to do a battery pull: leave your device on, pull the battery for 20 seconds, put it back in and wait to boot up.

If after a battery pull it still doesn't work you may want to back up your info and wipe the phone.

I don't know if I'd recommend Wiping your device... but I guess if anything is going to work that might be the last resort... if that does not work it's Broke!!!

Use DM to backup your personal data... then use the link below to backup your 3rd party apps.
Download and install your OS... T-Mobile's Official site: T-Mobile's BB Software Upgrade Site
Download and install CrackMem... use my signature to find that software.
Start CrackMem, select the OS version, then click the Wipe button... this will wipe your device, and load the OS you selected.

After that is done you can test the device... then use DM to reload your personal data... then 3rd party apps using the thread in my signature.

If this does not work... then yes, I'd bring it back... you might have to call T-Mobile and they will ship you a refurbished one as a replacement... they don't send new ones to fix warranty issues... but if this does not work then you have a backup of your data and apps, and a wiped device... T-Mobile is 611 on your cell phone.
