Default m3u playlist with some local, some streaming content no joy

I have an m3u playlist that includes some files that stream. In other words their file location points to a whatever<dot>com/music/mysong.mp3

I tested stuff out by opening an m3u from a web browser which only pointed to other http based files and it works fine: the media player fires up and the songs play. But if I save that same playlist on my media card and open it locally, I get nothing.

    Is this simply not possible?

Kind of don't understand what your trying to do.....but to be simple, you can download your mp3s and then stream from slacker radio...seems like your streaming from another site, if so, what site? like just as an example, we can test it out and let you know what happens

Sorry for the confusion. I'm streaming from Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service).

So if I open the playlist from S3 over http and then from the browser choose "Open" which opens the Media Player and then streams my music without issue.

If however I save the m3u playlist locally and try to open it, the Media Player fires up but never seems to open a connection to S3 to stream the file.

    Make sense?

yea, but probably because I don't think you can get anything saved on your sd card to open up through the internet....i think the only way for you to stream it is through the browser
