Lost SMS Icon and Messages?

Hello,
I am new to the site and also a new BB user....After a battery pull tonight I noticed when my phone started up again that I lhad lost the SMS Icon and all of its messages....Has this happened to anyone? And can I restore this back to my phone? Very frustrating.

go to messages<options check to make sure they are separated.

also make sure icon is not hidden.

there is no messages listed under the options any longer...I am also not recieving any text messages any longer...It has just seemed to vanish somehow.

Did you do another battery pull? Ive had this happen when doing a battery pull if I get a java uncaught exception upon reboot. The messages icon disappears and comes back if I do another battery pull.

Yes I did recieve that same error message and did several battery pulls but with no resolve, so I just reinstalled the OS and now I am back to normal.

My SMS messages also dissapeared and I'm also getting the exception error. How do you reinstall the OS?

I am having this problem too. Lost my SMS icon. But I am using Bold 9000. Anybody know how to fix this? Help me.

Lost SMS icon after doing a battery pull out so frustrating, can't receive texts icon completley disappeared tried following other recommendations on going through options, and sms marked as seperate still no luck? Pulled Battery again.

Any suggestions so frustrating? Thanks
