Default Just got back from being in Afghanistan for a year

and upon returning I had to change carriers here in europe. I was with vodafone but decided to go with T-mobile. I don't think this has anything to do with the problems i'm running into. Keep in mind what i'm about to explain I never had a problem before so maybe it's just a simple setting I have to change that i'm having a hard time figuring out since it's been so long.

I can't get any email access, facebook, or berry weather to load up. My internet works when I go to the web browser but the simple thing's I had on there before on my phone are not working now. If anybody knows the trick's of the trade for this I'd appreciate it greatly.

Thanks for your time !

thank you for responding and attempting to help me out. It's greatly appreciated.

When I go to "setup" > "email settings" it than try's to connect and gives me a " your device had a problem connecting to the server" so I click retry and it keeps going over and over again the same message.

The only other thing I found was pulling the battery out for about 15 seconds. But it sounds like a setup data issue with the BB/carrier.

Same phone, different carrier? Most likely an APN setting issue, along with service book issues. See the threads on making the Storm work on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US for explanations and examples.

The internet settings for many carriers would consist on an Access Point Name, a proxy address and port number, and a username & password.
The service books tend to be specific for each carrier, and contain the MMS settings, among other things.

Hope that was a little more enlightening.

Yea, same phone different carrier. Would you be able to walk me threw the steps along with the service book you were talking about. I did not see the thread you were talking about and i'm kinda new to around here.

Do you think this has to do with my email and my applications ? I appreciate your help man.

Eh, forgot to mention that if you have a BlackBerry attached to one carrier with BlackBerry internet services, the original carrier's technical support group has to release your PIN from that carrier to free it up.

This is done by zeroing out the IMEI/ESN and PIN on your BlackBerry account. Not sure if this can be done by yourself, though, and I'm not about to try it on my own.
