iphone 3g or BB 8900
i love my BB 8900 but i could get the Iphone and only pay $20 for data plan thru my work. Anyone who switched from BB to Iphone?

It depends on what you use it for. iPhone is more of a media device (a toy, IMO) where the 8900 is a messaging device.
If you use it for mostly web broswing and listening to music, get the iPhone.
If your main use is email/text/IM, keep the 8900. - 09-15-2009, 01:53 PM #4
just a shot in the dark here but asking this question in the blackberry 8900 forum may yield bias results....

If it's an iPhone 3GS I'd go for that.

I have had an iphone.
The reason i sold the iphone is:
- Bluetooth doesn't pair with other phones. Even pc's that isn't your own does not pair.
- One single loudspeaker with ****ty sound
- and other things i don't remember.
And the iphone is a gimmick. nothing more.
Afterwards i bought an HTC touch 3G...and not the BB 8900

You should try both devices and see what fits you better. For most of us here (if not all) would prefer the 8900. 8900 to me is a workhorse, it gets things done and have a lil something for play. I am satisfied with its audio playing capablities and the movies I converted to mp4 look awesome. I had an itouch but gave it to my gf because for me the 8900 is capable enough to be a media device. It doesn't hold a candle compared to an itouch/iphone media wise but I prefer to carry only one device. 8900 does everything!

i went from bb to iphone then i went back to bb thank god! the iphone is alright, and the apps are great, but the full keyboard is better than touch screen and battery life is better.
