Invisible Menu + Won't Update!?!?!
Hi.
Up until around 3 weeks ago i was using my trusty and beloved Curve 8900 with no problems. I decided to upgrade to the Torch which was a great idea until the charging port decided to start playing games with me. Whilst i waited a decision from my provider as to weather it would be replaced i decided to use my Curve again.
I put my SIM card and microSD card into my Curve and put the battery in. Once it was on i let it do its thing. Then when i pressed the menu key nothing came up at all. I was still at the home screen BUT i couldn't scroll left or right, I decided to press my trackball and it opened an app in my menu, even though the menu wasn't visibly open. This really confused me so i decided to do a battery pull and see if this fixed the problem. Again the same thing happened upon my phone restarting.
I figured i needed to restore the phone on my pc as the firmware may have become corrupt. I tried to reload the software only to get the following message:
"Blackberry Desktop Software failed to validate your Blackberry Software Update.
Aborting install due to validation failure. Some packages contained unsatisfied dependencies."
No matter if i'm reloading the latest software or downgrading my firmware if continues to do this and my menu is still playing up.
Can anyone help me in fixing my phone??
