I didn't look for it when I had it opened, but I would suspect there isn't much you can do there.

IMO not much you can do about the antenna.....are you having issues?

yeah, as i've mentioned in another thread. My reception on my BB is very dissappointing compared to my old phone. Compared side by side same location, the old phone outperforms the BB in reception and call quality. This "test" location, is understandably weak in signal strength, lower base level room right next to the garage. The part the bothers me is that my $200 BB is outperformed by a free one. And I'm aware that manufacturer differences apply, but seriously, for $500, BB should put the nice antennaes & RF chips in there.

I'd look into getting a replacement 8900 if I were in your shoes.

You 8900 should out perform most if not all of the phone out right now. I agree see if you can get a replacement.
The only thing I would suggest is that if you want to (I don't recommend as it will void your warranty) take it apart and make sure the antenna cable is secured to the connecting and the antenna wire is in good shape.

Try what the others here at Crackberry are doing. Just tell them what your actual issue is, that isn't normal. Also let them know that your other phone does get coverage so its not the area. If that person doesn't help you out, talk with someone else. If that still doesn't work then tell them your keyboard and/or trackball wobbles.

Yep, easy to fix. You just dab a bit of superglue and then put it back in place, hold and then wait 20 seconds or so for the superglue to set. Just make sure the key is aligned properly when you put it in place and then everything should be great.
P.S. I'm not sure if superglue is the best to adhere plastic to silicone but that's what I used and it worked great for me."There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't."How To Search ~ Search Effectively ~ Crackberry 101 ~ WiFi Guide ~ UMA Guide ~ SD Card Info ~ BB Browsers Explained
