I thought that AT&T would only get 3G

I was under the impression that AT&T were only getting in 3G phones in the future. If that is the case shouldn't the Javelin have 3G?

Well when the iPhone came out, it was said at that time that future phones would be 3G if I am not mistaken. A Javelin with 3G and no wifi would be a good seller I think.

Then why have the Bold and Javelin if they were pretty much the same?

Exactly. If the 8900 had 3G, I don't think the Bold would sell very well. I'm sure a lot of people looking at the Bold right now would pass it up for the 8900 if it had 3G. Me, I'll be getting the 8900 despite the lack of 3G. I've never had a problem with EDGE speeds.

Well I'm typing this from my Bold - and although I am more than impressedwith it, I will be taking it back prior to my 30 days coming up. Where I live I have seen my 3G icon hit only twice! On top of that I have no cell service at my house, but am able to browse and receive email over wifi (no texting). So if the curve has the same screen (blows my old iPhone away) and the OS is as smooth
Ill definitely make the jump "down" to the 8900. But I must admit - the keyboard on the bold is night and difference over my old curve!
