Its been way too long, it use to be once a week, I've been on .174 for almost 3 weeks now!!!

But...what if .174 is it? Maybe RIM has decided this will be the FINAL OS until 5.0 comes along? Maybe they need to pull the coders from all the other OSs to get the 5.0 out the door.
OOOoooooo!
Okay, scary story time is over! - 03-21-2009, 10:56 AM

I am happy with the fact that they are doing their best to make this product the best that it could be for us. Also software upgrades are not easy to accomplish and therefore we should be happy that they have pull all their coders towards such a great unit without forgetting about the other products from so many they have to work with. I bow to them for their dedication to this product which I love and know is not easy to keep up with along with all the others that need attention at the same time.

But .174 is still beta. I'm waiting for the next official release.

I think we should all be somewhat patient.. personally I'd like a GOOD os, not a rushed one. If we're a bit more patient maybe they'll hit gold, which is what i want.
Interesting OS updates:

There are few problems with .174 and I now have an entirely usable phone with this OS.
Personally I only see the need for a new OS when there are problems. It is true that improvements may still be made and I am sure that RIM are addressing these. I would rather see an OS that fixes things rather than one that is rushed out the door, fixing one thing and causing other problems.
I regard OS updates, especially beta leaks as essentially random events that happen when they happen.
I'm keen to have one but meanwhile my life and it's usual crop of normal problems proceeds. - 03-22-2009, 07:35 AM #23
