| | i may be the only one, but...
i don't see a huge difference between the bold and the javelin, at least as far as marketing goes. they both seem like a curve update. but, then again, i'm not as involved in the whole blackberry scene as many people on here. thoughts? i'd like to know where they differ.

3 g is the biggest. Bold has is javelin doesn't. Also the keys on the javelin are like the curve and the bold is like the 8800 series

The Javelin - with EDGE, Wi-Fi, and GPS is the true update to the Curve (on T-Mo) and the BOLD (at&t) will have a faster processor with 3G and also Wi-Fi. The Javelin looks like a smaller BOLD - only Hot. I want the quicker processor, but, the BOLD looks like a H.A.M. compared to the Javelin

I think the only way for a person to decide is to physically play with either of them when launched. Its difficult to judge something just by looking at it.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Lol. Not really judging either one. I prefer the BOLD, but, will settle for the Javelin and give up the 3g. It's that simple to me. I look at it the same way I picked a Curve over a Pearl and I wanted a Pearl. Either way, it's a BlackBerry. BTW, if the BOLD were released tomorrow, I would get one. But, because of the posted stats for the BOLD and the Javelin, the Javelin will be an option for me. Don't want you thinking this is just about looks

However, the Javelin is smaller with no 3g and additional internal memory for apps compared to the Curve. I just want one and don't really want to wait another 2 -3 months. So, I may take whichever is released first. lol

Bold
-3g
-624mhz processor
-1gb memory on board for storage
-128mb memory for apps/os
-2mp camera
-looks like an upgrade to 8800 series sizewise
Javelin
-no 3g
-slightly less processor. I think its 500mhz or so
-256 mb for apps/os
-3.2mp camera
-smaller and resemlbes the curve in size and keyboard
My thoughts
If 3g is ur thing, then its all about the bold. If not then the javelin is the choice cuz its smaller, has more memory for apps and a better camera. Yeah the processor is a lil bit slower it doesn't have 1gb memory but I'm sure everyone is gonna be using a memory card anyways.
I'm probably gonna get the bold when it comes. However when the javelin comes, at that point I will have experienced the bold and will be able to tell if 3g means a lot to me.

The Curve, Bold, and Javelin really looks alike. In my opinion, the Bold and Javelin are nothing more than a updated Curve.

The look somewhat alike, but then again, are totally different. The keyboards are completely different. The back of both devices are completely different. (the glass on the back of the Jav OWNS). The curves on the top and bottom of both devices are completely different. But after all that they do still look similar.
