You will soon realize that you need a battery saver Software to maximize use of the device and eventually reconize that if you leave the WiFi set to roam constantly for connection Open WiFi, that this also will consume the battery and empty the charge much faster. If you are like me and love the device and it stays on and with you most every waking moment of every day - bar none, then you will roam the BB App World and Download some free and some paid Software to allow maximization of battery Life, like Battery Booster and/or SmartWiFi in App World. Actually, the 8900 has pretty solid battery life, since it doesn't use 3G. Enjoy your time here, and welcome to the CrackBerry forums!

Welcome! The 8900 is one of my fav BB's. It's the only one I've always hung onto and not sold. Hope you enjoy!
