Thumbs down HELP! Weak reception when changed housing of 8900!

Hi, I just changed the housing of my unlocked T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8900 and I seem to be getting weak reception. The reception was fine before I changed it but now i only get 1-2 bars and SOS will frequently appear. I moved the speaker from my old housing to my new one and the sound is fuzzy. Any help would be appreciated.

SOS means that the phones simcard can't be read.

See if you didn't put that in right.

Or else the antenna was damaged when the housing was changed.

Thanks everyone! I checked my sim and it was inserted correctly...I'm going to order a new antenna and see how it goes from there. Does anyone know how to correctly remove and insert an antenna on the 8900?

.
TX means no signal.

SOS means no simcard.
