Help, Can't upgrade from 4.6 to 5.0

Hi Guys,

I have a Blackberry Curve 8900 on Vodafone UK, OS 4.6 and connected to a BES. I am trying to upgrade it to 5.0.

I tried the standard approach via the BBDS but it said no updates where available.

So I then did a factory reset (clean wipe) of the device, downloaded and installed the correct OS 5.0 version for Vodafone UK from the BB official site and attempted to install this via App Loader (removing the Vendor.xml) beforehand. Unfortunately this didn't work also and it just said that no software updates could be found for this device.

I tried to manually add the .alx to the App Loader but I get a prompt saying that this application is not compatible with my device.

I also tried using BBSAK but it won't connect to the device....grrrr...

I am out of ideas and could really do with some help!!!
