Head phone jack problem
I have a 8900 curve and the headphone jack does not work sometimes. When I use my skullcandy head phones with mic I have to twist and pull it out a little bit for them to work. I tried to clean the port with a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol. But it still does not help it. The phone is past it warranty period. I voided the warranty when I had the trackball replaced when I went on vacation to see my dad in Jamaica. I checked the head phones with a coworker's 8530 and they work. I also checked them with my I pod touch to use skype and they work also.
I put in non mic headphones from my old skullcandys and my apple Ipod non mic headphone and they work perfectly. I was wondering if any one has this problem with mic headphones on their 8900. I just bought a used 9700 but want to keep the 8900 as a backup. I just want to know if I should try to get it repaired or it is a common problem.
