the new lock/standy feature on the update kinda stinks - it's easier for me to do a quick check on my phone for messages with the lock key, instead of it having to constantly go in and out of standby...is there a way to get the lock key function back?

I've actually become used to it now and kind of like it. I use the lock on top when I put my bb in its holster or my pocket. I've mapped the hard lock, if you will, to my left side convenient key. I can't take credit for the fix though as I read it here from another forum member. If I need it "locked" locked then I just use the side key. Otherwise the top key keeps me from pocket calling as well as putting it in "lock" mode after my 10 minute time set. hope this helps a little.

But don't you have to enter password everytime you unlock it? the only way to assign a hard key to lock is if you get the lock icon which only comes up when you setup password lock. Unless it's something I'm missing.
