Dreaded "uncaught exception" error on my phone

Hi all,

I've run into a problem lately - my BBM seems to be messing up and I've been getting a variation of the following message:

uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_messaging_app (367) is not responding; process terminated

My phone starts getting very laggy for a couple of minutes until that error message pops up.

I'm running:
OS 5.0.0.900 Bundle 1626
Blackberry Messenger 5.01

I've deleted most extra (3rd party) apps, done the battery pull (a million times), tried reinstalling everything, but the problem is still present..

Normally the best way out of that is to completely wipe the device then reinstall the OS.

Download the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager and install it then..

Backup your device first.

Download JL_Cmder, install it to your PC run the program then wipe the device.

Once this is done open up Desktop manager and reinstall the O/S.

Then restore the backup and everything "should" be ok....

Bump! Still need help.

I wiped my 8900 and installed a newer OS..for a few days I had no issues, but now I'm getting the same "uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_messaging_app (82) is not responding; process terminated"

Is it a hardware issue?
