Can you give more details? Are you getting an error message? What exactly is happening? Did you delete the vendor.xml file? Also try to un-install all OS's except the one you want to load. Is the OS the one made for your phone? Really need more details to offer help.

Thanks for responding. I'm becoming SO frustrated. I'm not receiving an error message. I saved the file "8900M_PBr5.0.0_rel1027_PL5.2.0.58_A5.0.0.610" to my computer. I thought that it was suppose to offer me the option to open my desktop manager. But, it didn't. It just told me that the InstaShield Wizard installment was complete. I deleted the vendor.xml file. I disabled my data on my phone. I can't find it in my desktop manager. And, when I try to the "loader" found in my AppLoader folder, it tells me "No actions are required".

yeah, It doesn't offer the option to open the Desktop Manager

try the following
1. uninstall all Opertaing Systems from your PC (for Vista >> control pannel (control pannel home), uninstall a program, BlackBerry Device Software)
2. Reinstall the one you would like to upgrade to
3. Delete the Vendor.xml file if it's not your Carrier's Release -> (C:, program files, Common files, Research in motion, app loader, Delete the Vendor.xml file
4.Preferably using the new DM ( Desktop Manager ) Backup your BB.. link -> BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software - BlackBerry Software at BlackBerry.com
5.Connect your BB and Backup its memory ( from now on disconnect your PC from the Internet and disable data on phone)
6.Close the DM
7.Download and install in your PC an application called CrackMem
8.Run CrackMem and then choose the OS you've installed earlier
9. Click on Wipe Device . . it will ask you to write BrickMyPhone -> write it
10. Follow the installation instructions afterwards and you'll be Fine . . that's what I did
11. After that you might need to update your BBM and you might need to delete your wi-fi and set it up again

When I get to the loader at the end it tells me that there is no available software for my device.
