Default Device taking FOREVER to reboot after Software Upgrade

I have just updated my Device Software to Version 5. The upgrade itself took relatively fast and I removed my Device from my PC when prompted to do so. Then my device said something about it having to have to reboot and that it will be off for a while. It feels like it has been more than an hour already!!! The red light goes on a little bit at a time and then it's "dead" again. I tried switching it back on, but nothing happens. What should I do??? Just wait? Could something have gone wrong? HELP!!!
