Default Desktop Software failed to validate your blackberry device update

I am using Blackberry Desktop Software on a Mac connected to my 8900 via USB.

When I try to remove applications in order to make room to update the phone's software, I get this error.

Blackberry Desktop software failed to validate your Blackberry device update.

Validation failed because the module marked for add (net_rim_bb_pgp_lib) failed the checksum

Anyone know how to fix this?

If your carrier does not know they should be able to transfer you to RIM free of charge. Unfortunately the other thing I can think of is that the desktop manager is not able to verify the CRC against RIMs data base directly through the internet.

Not much of a help but it is all I can offer.
