Curve 8900 Keypad Membrane

Hi,

The top row of keys (green and red phone keys and blackberry key and undo/back key) on my 15 month old Curve 8900 have to be pressed harder than used to be the case. This is really annoying and something is clearly not right.

I have a 2 year contract so no upgrade for another 9 months

Took the phone apart this morning, hoping to clean things up but the keyboard itself was very clean underneath, no dust/dirt to clean.

Not aware had any contact with water and have really looked after the phone so I assume the membrane is at fault ?

On ebay I can see people selling what appears to be the keypad membrane on its own and others selling the membrane with flex's hanging off it.

Is the keypad membrane for the curve 8900 a seperate part or does it come with the flex's integrated - I am a bit confused ?

The keypad membrane should come with a flex cable. It is easy enough to replace.
